Rafael Nadal is trying to become the first man to win a Grand Slam tournament eight times
when he takes on his compatriot David Ferrer, who is playing in his first Grand Slam final, at the French Open. It is the first final between two countrymen since the 2004 French Open final between Gaston Gaudio and Guillermo Coria of Argentina.
